Previously, my W900i experienced the white screen of death. I brought it in to SESC and they upgraded my firmware to R5BC004. Since then my phone has been shutting off itself intermittently. Sometimes, I pick up my phone and found that it's dead. Sometimes, it shuts itself down when an SMS comes in. Sometimes it shuts itself off when a call comes in. Recently it shuts itself off in the middle of a conversation (and I have just started the conversation, not say talk for very long) liao. And the most recent one I have to take out the battery and put back before I can restart!
The shutting down also seems to be happening more and more frequently.

Anyone with this firmware also facing the same problem? Is my phone dying?

I am actually toying with changing the phone....but cannot decide between Dopod 838 Pro or SE P990i.....

If the phone is still covered by the warranty might as well have sesc repair the phone

Thanks all. Have just sent in the phone to SESC at Eastpoint. Most probably I will be trading it in for the Dopod 838 Pro after the repair. Initially wanted the P990i but now am steering clear of SE phones. Both my previous SE phones Z800i and W900i came me tons of problems with shutting off and reception.

I think it's all up to chance...I have used 4 se phones and none of them had any restarting or reception problems.

It's been 2 weeks already and the phone is still with SESC. They say have to replace BTU (or something like that, think it's the motherboard) and no stock...and everyday the phone is there...the trade-in value is dropping... Crying or Very sad

My friend has a W900i they gave me to repair. It all started a few months Ago, when his phone started acting strange and very slow and unresponsive. At that time, he tried everything he could think, even with SEUS sheet but in vain. Then he gave the phone to me and I flashed with XS + +. Everything was fine, but the phone still glitch and acted very strange and slow.
