i have been thinking that there isnt much interest in the gphone
but the lone lines at m1 proved otherwise

after an hour with magic
all the google stuff came back to me
and i'm really enjoying the g experience once again
this time in a nicer form factor
and even more wonderful

esp
all installed programs are now on the card
(i got $100 of free acessories on my m1 draw
so got 8 gig card, screen protector and all that good stuff)
even on a promotion, that guy pasted the screen protector for me
try asking singtel or starhub!
so after installing all my stuff, still got over 200mb out of 260

also
pdf reader and quick office is provided
so key to making g2 a serious phone

pity
singapore still no access to paid apps
although the friendly m1 counter guy assured me that there is

well, cant have everything
but if iphone firmware 3.0 isnt as wonderful as i think it is
i'm making htc magic my main phone

stay tuned

when i was using htc dream
my 2 most needed apps was quick office and pdf viewer

i am so glad they included both in magic
the pdf viewer is wonderful
with search function
which i need for the church directory

also quick office works well
reads text, doc and xls
cant edit or create
but better than nothing

docs to go
is the app to get
if you want to do so

my g2 is on loan
so have been updating my iphone to firmware 3.0

acutually out of the 100 plus improvements
only the first 5 are really useful, ie

• Cut, Copy & Paste with shake to undo
• Landscape keyboard in key applications
• Enhanced Messages application
  - Send and receive photos, contacts, audio files, and location via MMS*
  - Forward and delete single or multiple messages
• Added search feature in Mail, Calendar, Notes and iPod
• Spotlight search across iPhone

but there are small improvements in many areas
like bulk delete on the photos section

still the htc magic winds over iphone in these areas

• Able to forward / send sms to a group of people at a go (texteasy)
• Removeable battery
• SD micro card - able to carry full resolution pics
• better camera 3.2mp
• Able to record video...
